A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2 Reveals Episode 4 Preview

A Couple of Cuckoos Season 2 anime released the preview for episode 4 titled “All Together, Now” on Friday. It will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Bilili and will premiere on Tuesday, July 29. Jou Aoba is writing the script for the episode, while Hirokazu Sakamoto is doing the storyboard and directing.

Episode 4 synopsis:
Ai and Erika end up competing for Nagi!? Ai suddenly shows up at the Amano House and challenges Erika to a showdown, demanding she back off from Nagi. After the contest, Ai tries to gauge her romantic rival, but it turns out to be an unexpected person.

Studio Okuruto Noboru is animating the sequel, replacing studios Shin-Ei Animation and SynergySP. Masakazu ‌Hishida is the new director and Jo ‌Aoba is the series composition writer. Kyoko ‌Kon is in charge of the character design and Rei ‌Ishizuka composes the music.

The opening theme song “Kimi ga Kureta Mono” (“What You Gave Me”) is performed by asmi, while the ending theme song “Anata ‌de ‌nakucha” is sung by 22/7.

The anime is based on the manga written by Miki Yoshikawa. Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine serialized the series in January 2020. Kodansha licensed the manga in English and the describe the plot as follows:
16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally meets the brash, outspoken, Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend as she never wants to actually marry. But once Nagi makes it to dinner, he finds his parents have decided to resolve the hospital switch by conveniently having him marry the daughter his birth parents raised…who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!
