The upcoming A Girl & Her Guard Dog anime has released the preview images for episode 1. The anime is scheduled to air its first episode on September 28 at 25:05 (JST), and the succeeding episodes will air every Thursday at 24:30-25:00 (JST). Crunchyroll and Prime Video will stream the anime.
The first episode will introduce the heroine, Isaku Senagaki, in her attempt to live a normal high school life where people don’t know that she’s the grandchild of a yakuza, and the protective and nosy member of her grandfather’s yakuza syndicate who enrolls in the same school as her, Keiya Utou. A Girl & Her Guard Dog anime adaptation is based on an ongoing manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Hatsuharu. Project No.9 is animating the series with Yoshihiro Takamoto directing. Yoriko Tomita, Aya Satsuki, and Miharu Hirami are penning the script. Masayoshi Ooishi is performing the opening theme “Suki ni Naccha Dame na Hito” Aside from providing the voice for the female lead Isaku Senagaki, Akari Kito is also singing the ending theme “Magie×Magie.” The rest of the voice cast includes:

- Akari Kito as Isaku Senagaki
- Junya Enoki as Kaori Sekiya
- Mai Nakahara as Mikio Tanuki
Kodansha is publishing the manga series in its shoujo manga magazine Bessatsu Friend and digitally in English, and describes the series:
