Maho Film’s anime adaptation of A Playthrough of a Certain Dude’s VRMMO Life will see new characters Red, Blue, Pink, Yellow, and Green added to the cast, starting from episode 6 (airs on November 6, 2023, 25:00 JST). Their voice actors and anime character designs are below:
- Red: Masaya Matsukaze (Colt Grice in Attack on Titan)
- Blue: Hiroki Aiba (Kanata Irie in The Prince of Tennis)
- Pink: M.A.O (Airi Sakura in Classroom of the Elite)
- Yellow: Amatsuki (Kei Miyama in Paradox Live The Animation)
- Green: Sekai (Fuji in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond)
Shiina Howahowa’s A Playthrough of a Certain Dude’s VRMMO Life light novel series was initially self-published on Shosetsuka ni Narou from January 2013 to August 2016 and was picked up by publisher AlphaPolis after she won the Reader’s Award at the 6th AlphaPolis Fantasy Novel Awards. The light novel series has released 28 volumes. The manga adaptation illustrated by Shuya Rikudo began in May 2014 and has been collected into 11 volumes as of September 30, 2023. As previously announced, the A Playthrough of a Certain Dude’s VRMMO Life initial cast initially began with Kaito Ishikawa as Earth/Daisuke Namikawa as Taichi Tanaka, Reina Ueda as Fairy Queen, Tasuku Hatanaka as Zwei, and Miho Okasaki as Milly. The anime series began airing on October 2, 2023, and is directed by Yuichi Nakazawa.

A new type of VRMMO called “One More Free Life Online” is out. He logs in as a young boy avatar called “Earth”. Taichi Tanaka (38, single) has a regular office job and enjoys playing video games in his free time.
