The artist of Act-Age, Shiro Usazaki, is officially returning to Weekly Shonen Jump with a new serialized manga, which will have story by Osamu Nishi (creator of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun). The new manga is titled Madan no Ichi and will begin in the magazine on September 9.
Shiro Usazaki was the artist for Act-Age until its sudden cancellation following the writer, Tatsuya Matsuki’s, assault charges. Usazaki illustrated multiple one-shots over the years, such as Engan no Cyclops (2020), Ryu no Eigakan (2022), and Kimi to Aoi Yoru no (2023), but this will be her first major serialization after 4 years.
Meanwhile, Osamu Nishi is well known for her work on Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun. The manga has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since March 2017, getting a TV anime adaptation of 3 seasons so far.
