Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou revealed the main key visual earlier this week ahead of the September 15 premiere. Studio MAPPA is animating the original work, which will be directed by Mari Okada. This will be Okada’s second directorial work: the first one was Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms in 2018, and MAPPA’s first original movie.
Director and screenwriter Okada previously stated that she wanted to recreate the atmosphere she felt as a child while watching Japanese movies and anime movies. Boys will be the main characters in this movie which will depict the “tingling feeling of youth” instead of sweet and sour teenage drama. The staff for the Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou (Alice and Therese’s Illusion Factory) movie includes:

Junya Enoki is voicing Kikuiri Masamune, Reina Ueda is Sagami Mutsumi and Misaki Kino is Itsumi. Miyuki Nakajima is performing the song titled “Shin-On.”
