Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) anime has revealed the preview images, video, and synopsis for episode 10, slated to air on September 4. The episode is titled “A Belated Birthday Party.” Studio Doga Kobo is animating the series, which is streaming on Crunchyroll.

The synopsis for episode 10 is as follows:
One day, after the voices mocking Sayaka had finally settled down, Alya calls Masachika. In the conversation, Alya promises that if Masachika ranks within the top 30 in the upcoming exam, she will do whatever he asks. However, in the midst of the conversation, Alya realizes that she wasn’t invited to Masachika’s birthday party, which makes her feel down. This is because in Russia, inviting someone to a birthday party is a sign of friendship! Understanding the reason for Alya’s disappointment, Masachika decides to invite her out.

The Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) anime is based on a light novel written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. The novel was initially published online as two short stories on the self-publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint in 2021.
Crunchyoll is streaming the anime and describes the story as follows:
Alya is a transfer student enjoying popularity at her new high school, often sporting a cold shoulder while earning high marks in class. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to. Let’s see where this wacky love story takes them!
