The upcoming second season of AOASHI has unveiled its main trailer, featuring the new theme songs ahead of the anime’s October 4 premiere. Studio TMS Entertainment was previously confirmed to be taking over from Production I.G for the animation production.
The first cour will cover the opening 12 episodes of the season’s planned 24-episode run. Season 2’s opening theme is performed by Japanese rock band 10-FEET, while singer-songwriter Ai Higuchi performs the ending theme. Both of the songs are featured in the new trailer, which you can watch below.

Aoashi (stylized AO ASHI) by Yugo Kobayashi began in January 2015 and was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine. The manga recently exceeded 20 million circulating copies and ended with 40 volumes. The first season by Production I.G ran for 22 episodes from April to September 2022. Crunchyroll is streaming it, describing the story:
After a loss in his last junior high school soccer tourney, Ehime Prefecture’s ace player, Ashito Aoi, is devastated but in every loss there’s a victory. Tatsuya Fukuda, manager of an organization that trains students for one of the leading clubs in the J-League, sees Ashito’s raw talent and offers a tryout to his group. Together they’ll bring the youth club and Aoshi’s talents to new heights!
