ARCANADEA anime revealed its first teaser trailer, along with a January 2027 release date. The anime is based on Kotobukiya’s Arcanadea plastic model series, which launched in December 2021 with an “SF x Fantasy” concept and original character designs by necömi. The series has surpassed 700,000 units shipped as of June 2026.
The story takes place in a near-future world which was transformed by the discovery of a next-generation energy source known as Arcana Particles. Shogo Kuga, an apathetic university student, has his life disrupted when a palm-sized girl named Lumitea suddenly falls from the sky.
After she calls him “Master,” Shogo becomes involved with the mysteries surrounding the Arcana Particles, an event known as the “Night of Destruction,” and the Arcana Stones responsible for strange phenomena around the world. The anime was announced at the franchise’s 3rd anniversary live talk event in December 2024.
Keiichiro Kawaguchi is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab, with Atsuhiro Tomioka handling series composition. necömi is credited with the original main character designs, while 新川雲羽 is handling the animation character designs. Yuki Hayashi and Yuki Furuhashi are composing the music.
The voice cast includes:
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shogo Kuga
- Kaede Hondo as Lumitea
- Konomi Inagaki as Kaho Asagi
- Miho Okasaki as Velretta
- Rina Hidaka as Yukumo
- Moka Kanzaki as Gii
- Mai Kanno as Rin Kirinoe
