Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san? Anime Teaser Trailer Revealed

The first teaser trailer for the anime Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san? has released ahead of its January 2027 release date. Studio SynergySP is in charge of the animation, with Yasuaki Fujii as director. Keiichiro Ochi is handling the series composition, Majiro is the character designer, and Alisa Okehazama is the music composer.

The trailer shows Kuroki after he is seated next to Mai Chihara at the start of a new semester. Although his classmates describe Chihara as a “landmine” girl, Kuroki begins discovering unexpected sides of her as the two spend time together.

Sayumi Suzushiro voices Mai Chihara, while Kazuki Ura voices Kuroki. The main voice cast consists of:

• Kazuki Ura as Kuroki
• Maaya Uchida as Chinatsu Iwakura
• Tomokazu Sugita as Hibiya
• Daisuke Ono as Kazami

The manga series is drawn by Ryon. It began on Comic Smart’s Ganma! website in June 2021 and has released 9 volumes as of July 2026. Seven Seas will start releasing the manga in English on September 29, 2026. They describe the story:

Hesitantly, Kuroki begins to learn more about Chihara and her strange quirks. Is there more to her than her volatile reputation? Or is all the dark clothing just a red flag in disguise?
