Firefly Wedding Main Trailer Featuring Opening Theme Song by iri Revealed

Firefly Wedding TV anime revealed the main trailer with the opening theme “Period,” a new song written by iri for the series. The anime previously confirmed an October 9 premiere and a key visual. Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime, with a special early screening set to take place during its Anime Nights event on September 21.

The main voice cast for the anime includes:

• Lynn as Satoko Kirigaya
• Koki Uchiyama as Shinpei Goto
• Kento Ito as Kotaro Ogawa
• Kenjiro Tsuda as Mitsueda

Takahiro Kamei is directing the series at studio david production (Fire Force). Yuko Kakihara is handling series composition and scripts, with Yukiko Aikei as character designer. Music is composed by NOGRID. You can watch the new trailer below.

Oreco Tachibana’s original manga is serialized through Shogakukan’s MangaONE app. The series has surpassed 4.5 million copies in circulation, with 12 collected volumes released so far. It previously also won the 2024 Digital Comic Award. The story follows Satoko, the daughter of a prestigious family who has been told she has little time left to live. Her goal is to marry into another prominent family and make her father proud, but her life changes after she gets kidnapped.

Facing a desperate situation alongside assassin Shinpei, Satoko lies and proposes marriage to him, promising that he can have everything if they become a couple. Unexpectedly, Shinpei takes the proposal seriously and becomes devoted to Satoko as she struggles between her responsibilities and her growing feelings for him.
