The preview images for episode 6 of Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest season 2 have been released. The show will resume on February 17, 2022, and we will see that trouble seems to start in the capital now that Hajime and Kaori are away.

Funimation has been streaming Arifureta season 2 since January 13, 2022, and as of now, it has 5 episodes. Akira Iwanaga (Isuca) is directing the series, while studios Asread (Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory) and Mother are currently animating. Season 1 of the series aired in Summer 2019, and it had a total of 13 episodes. Two OVAs also aired in December 2019 and February 2020.
Ryo Shirakome first launched Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest web novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2012. A light novel adaptation is currently being published by Overlap, and as of now, it has 12 volumes available. The same publisher is also serializing a manga adaptation by RoGA on Comic Gardo magazine.
J-Novel Club licensed the Arifureta light novel series in English, and the second season is adopting the 5th volume. You can read the synopsis below:

His travels led him to conclude that a mineral known as stillrock held the key to saving his country, but it can only be found inside the Grand Gruen Volcano, a labyrinth far too dangerous for most.
