This Sunday was awesome for Attack on Titan fans as we got a double episode, and of course that’s way more than enough to get the franchise trending worldwide again. We got to see the table scene between Eren, Armin and Mikasa (and Armin getting beaten), before getting to the Levi vs Zeke rematch in episode 14.
After that, we saw the Beast Titan run away and turn everyone into titans. He thought the captain wouldn’t be able to kill them. Although he did hesitate for a second, Levi flipped his switch and disposed of all of them and shortly got to Zeke. This round also didn’t take long as it only took him a few minutes to body the “hairball” and drag him out. The episode ended with Floch turning more people into Yeagerists. That was the part that wasn’t broadcast last week. Not expecting to sympathize with Zeke, episode 15 then told his backstory. We saw how Grisha and Dina treated their son, and only the former Beast Titan Ksaver cared about him. It’s pretty sad how both Eren and Zeke were affected by Grisha. Although, it will be interesting to see how their plan to euthanize Eldians works out in the end.
No wonder #Zeke is trending along the #shingeki and other hashtags after that. Fans are beginning to think he really did nothing wrong. But besides the other characters in the past, he also seems to have heavily injured Levi now. I’m not sure why our captain didn’t think that was a possibility when he stuck a thunder spear so close to him, but his situation can’t be good now. You can already watch both episodes on Funimation, and the final episode premieres next Sunday. Its title will be “Above and Below”.
Lastly, you can check out the special illustrations released to commemorate both episodes. For episode 14:

Over a century ago, mankind was devoured by giant beings of unknown intelligence and origin known as Titans. Creatures that eat humans alive indiscriminately and for no apparent reason. The remaining population has managed to survive the last hundred years only by building a multi-walled city capable of keeping the Titans at bay, training military recruits to patrol the perimeter and gather intelligence about their mysterious foe. Eren and Mikasa have lived a relatively peaceful life behind the city’s walls. But when a massive Titan appears, smashing the outer barrier and unleashing a wave of terror, their lives are brutally changed forever…
