“There’s only a little time left of Ichikawa and Yamada’s middle school life… The next volume will be the final volume. Please watch over their world until the very end.” Akita Shoten has published The Dangers in My Heart across various magazines since March 2018, as the series looks to cap off its successful serialization around 8 years post-debut. The first volume of the spinoff series centered on Kana Ichikawa, credited to Haika Nanasaka (manga) and Norio Sakurai (original work), was also released on January 8.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes The Dangers in My Heart manga in English, describing the series:
Quirky courtship awaits in this comedy nominated for the 2020 Manga Taisho Award–and don’t miss the anime!
Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder, secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. He spends his days dreaming up ways to disrupt his classmates’ peaceful lives and pining after Anna Yamada, the class idol. But Kyotaro’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!
