After 2.5 years, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War finally gets its U.S. TV release date, with Adult Swim’s Toonami confirming a May 2025 arrival.
The Toonami official Facebook page confirmed its upcoming TV listings, with BLEACH: TYBW, which first debuted on Hulu/Disney Plus in October 2022, arriving on the Toonami programming block starting 12:30am EDT on May 18, 2025. Akin to Japanese TV listings, Toonami lists it as May 17 but past midnight.
Captioning the post, “Our May lineup is pretty lit,” May 11 at midnight will kick off a Lazarus marathon, while May 18’s offerings include Lazarus, Bleach: TYBW, fellow new debutant Blue Exorcist Season 2, One Piece, Naruto, and Sailor Moon. You can check them out below.
As Adult Swim exposes BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War to a new fanbase, or perhaps provides a convenient way to catch up, many are still waiting on the release date for the fourth and final cour: The Calamity. BLEACH creator Tite Kubo teased original content, which has already given fans an extended battle between Ichigo and Uryu and an entirely original Renji vs. Uryu fight. PIERROT FILMS will continue to be in charge of animation production. Hikaru Murata was promoted to series director for Cour 3 onwards while previous series director Tomohisa Taguchi moved to a chief director role.
Toonami’s BLEACH release date is set for May 18. All episodes stream on Hulu and Disney Plus, which describes the anime:
When a new enemy appears, Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki jumps back into the battlefield with his Zanpakuto to help those in need.
