The upcoming Blue Box anime adaptation revealed a teaser trailer at today’s Jump Festa ’24 panel dedicated to the series. The anime, announced in November of this year, features Shoya Chiba and Reina Ueda as Taiki and Chinatsu. The duo attended the Jump Festa stage and was joined by Akari Kito, who will voice Hina Chono.
Telecom Animation Film is animating the Blue Box anime, while UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS is producing. The anime still doesn’t have a release date.
Blue Box is based on a manga by Kouji Miura. The series began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in April of 2021. It was originally published as a one-shot in 2020, before starting regular serialization. A total of 13 volumes have been published as of today. VIZ Media is publishing it in English and describes the plot as:
Taiki admires Chinatsu from afar, but he doubts that she sees him in the same way. Yet somehow, he musters up the courage to tell her to never give up on her dreams! After such a bold declaration, will Taiki’s fleeting high school romance finally begin?
