Blue Box began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump in April of 2021. There are currently 12 volumes out – the most recent one was published earlier this month, on October 4. VIZ Media is publishing it in English, volumes 7 and 8 are currently available for pre-order and set to release on November 7, 2023 and January 2, 2024, respectively.
The English licensor describes the plot as:
Taiki admires Chinatsu from afar, but he doubts that she sees him in the same way. Yet somehow, he musters up the courage to tell her to never give up on her dreams! After such a bold declaration, will Taiki’s fleeting high school romance finally begin?
Kouji Miura is also known as the author of I Love You, Teacher manga. Blue Box is the first one of her works to get adapted into an anime.
In addition, the voice actors Chiba and Ueda will be present on the Blue Box stage at the Jump Festa 2024 event, which will be held on December 16th and feature additional cast members (to be announced on the day).
