Blue Lock anime has a new ending theme song “Numbness like a ginger” by Unison Square Garden. The new ending is available in the latest, 15th, episode that dropped yesterday. The band released a music video for the song:
With the beginning of the second cour, Blue Lock anime unveiled a new opening theme song: “Judgement” by ASH DA HERO. Unison Square Garden also performed the first opening theme “Chaos ga Kiwamaru,” while Shugo Nakamura sang the ending, titled “Winner.”
Studio 8bit is animating the series that premiered in October of this year. The second cour will focus on the Second Selection arc; the key visual for the new arc was revealed in December 2022. The main cast of Blue Lock anime includes Soma Saito (Hyoma Chigiri), Kazuki Ura (Yoichi Isagi), Yuki Ono (Rensuke Kunigami), and Tasuku Kaito (Meguru Bachira).
The anime is based on a manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. Kodansha is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win! The Football Association is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match … To do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players.
