Blue Lock Season 2 revealed preview images for episode 1 on Friday. The upcoming season, also titled Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan, is set to premiere on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Studio 8bit is returning to handle the animation production. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime with English subtitles. Fans can check out the preview images below:
Blue Lock Season 2 will air for 14 episodes this fall, covering the rest of the Third Selection arc and the anticipated U-20 arc. UNISON SQUARE GARDEN is performing the opening theme “Bojaku no Charisma” while Snow Man is performing the ending theme song titled “One”.

Yuuji Haibara is working as the director and a CG director for Blue Lock Season 2. He drew the storyboard for episode 9 of Blue Lock season one and was a storyboard assistant for eight other episodes. Taku Kishimoto is reprising his role, handling the series composition and script. Blue Lock Manga
Blue Lock is an anime adaptation of the original manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura which began publishing in 2018 under Weekly Shonen Magazine. The manga has over 40 million copies in circulation as of September 2024, making it one of the best-selling manga of all time.
The series currently has 30 volumes published, with 31 set to release on October 14, 2024. Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English and currently has the first 27 volumes out.
