Call of the Night anime announced a season 2 along with a teaser visual and video on Monday. The visual features Nazuna Nanakusa (voiced by Sora Amamiya) and Anko Uguisu (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro).
The first season of the anime aired from July 2022 to September 2022 with a total of 13 episodes. Studio LIDENFILMS was in charge of the animation with Tomoyuki Itamura as director.
The anime is based on the manga by Kotoyama and it was named after Creepy Nuts’ song of the same name, “Yofukashi no Uta” in Japanese. The band performed both the opening and ending songs titled “Daten” and “Yofukashi no Uta” respectively. The manga ended last January with 200 chapters in total. Viz Media publishes the English versions and describes the plot:
“One night, sleepless Yamori slips out of his home to walk the streets of his town. Life after dark is a revelation! Especially when he meets flirtatious Nanakusa… She’s a lot more fun to share the night with than old drunks on park benches. When she invites him to spend the night at her place in an abandoned building, he’s stoked! But then he awakens to kisses on his neck with a little too much bite to them…“
