Chained Soldier English Dub Comes To HIDIVE On July 29

The Chained Soldier English dub comes to HIDIVE on July 29, 2024, at 1:00 EDT. That’s a cause for celebration for English-speaking ecchi fans who’ve eagerly awaited this news since the show’s Winter 2024 premiere.

HIDIVE announced the details for the dub version of the show via its social media accounts and website. The production staff of the shows sees David Lascoe helm the audio engineer duties, Kalin Black and Shannon D. Reed working on the ADR script, with Reed also serving as the ADR director. Brent Marshall serves as the mix engineer and Natalie Jones provides translation services.

The main vocal cast for the English dub of Chained Soldier consists of:

• Yuuki Wakura – Gabriel Regojo (Ko Yamori in Call of the Night)
• Kyouka Uzen – Roxanna George
• Tenka Izumo – Kelly Greenshield (Yoriko Kichijouji in Oshi no Ko)

• Nei Ookawamura – Kristen McGuire (Akane Kurokawa in Oshi no Ko)
• Shushu Suruga – Juliet Simmons (Ultimatia in Ragna Crimson)

Animated by Seven Arcs Studio, the anime adaptation of Takahiro-sensei’s Chained Soldier was produced by AT-X, MAGNET, Pony Canyon, and Yostar. The manga (illustrated by Yohei Takemura) has been serialized on Shueish’as online Shonen Jump+ platform since January 2019.

A second season was announced at the end of season 1. Recently, the production company also announced that studio Passione will be taking over for the sequel, as well as confirming a new director and character designer.

What is Chained Soldier about? As a mysterious dimension known as Mato collides with Japan, people inevitably find themselves unwittingly wandering into this other world. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Mato is filled with monstrous creatures called Shuuki. To prevent the wanton blood bath that this brings, an all-female protection force called the Anti-Demon Corps was established.

One day as Yuuki Wakura walks home, he finds himself in the dark realms of Mato. Luckily for him, just before he could become monster chow he’s saved by a beautiful ADC soldier. But that’s not all, as fate seems to have drawn the two together. Her power relies on having someone fight for her, a power she’s relegated solely to controlling Shuuki. But as the situation looks dire, she uses her ability on Yuuki, giving birth to a fighting force far greater than she could have imagined. And with that Yuuki finds himself in a new home and with a new purpose, and to his luck, his noble goals are often accompanied by ignoble deeds.
