Chained Soldier Season 2 revealed a new trailer, which features the opening theme song “Light, to Me”
by Akari Kito. The anime will return on January 8, 2026. Masafumi Tamura is directing the second season at Passione x Hayabusa Film. The new voice cast members include:
- Kaori Maeda as Maia Azuma
- Yuna Nemoto as Homare Azuma
- Shiori Izawa as Tobera Azuma

Studio Seven Arcs animated the first season of the Chained Soldier anime. Studio Passione was announced to be taking over from Seven Arcs for the second season, with Hayabusa Film recently confirmed as the co-studio. The sequel will have new key staff, including Tamura Masafumi as the director and Nakano Keiya as the character designer.
Anime Corner also had the special opportunity to interview voice actor Yuya Hirose and producer Yuki Watanabe to talk about the anime, which is streaming on HIDIVE. The voice cast includes:

Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) is originally a manga series written by Takahiro (Akame Ga Kill author), with illustrations by Yohei Takemura. The manga has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online platform since January 2019. It went on an unexpected break earlier this year. Yen Press is publishing the manga in English.
