Chainsaw Man’s Ryu Nakayama Directs Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective Anime Opening

Aniplex’s official YouTube channel released the uncredited version of the Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective opening music video. Andraft, the anime studio founded by Chainsaw Man Season 1 director Ryu Nakayama, is credited for animation production. Nakayama also directed the opening and is credited as the producer. Aimer performs the song “SCOPE,” which you can hear below.

Nakayama announced Andraft’s founding in January 2024. Per the company website, Andraft aims to take on various challenges “without being bound by existing concepts.” In a post via X (formerly Twitter) from November 2023, Nakayama said he was working to build a “better environment free from power harassment, moral harassment, unnecessary stress, and stable financially and timewise.”

In addition to the Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective opening, Andraft’s credits include production on the VSPO!×Cardfight!! Vanguard promo video and production cooperation on the KILLTUBE pilot film; Andraft staff also did key animation for Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era and SUICIDE SQUAD ISEKAI Episodes 5 and 6.

Project No.9 (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) is credited for Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective‘s animation production. The anime series adapts the Ameku Takao no Suiri Karute novels written by Mikito Chinen, illustrated by Noizi Ito, and published by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha as of 2023.
