Tatsuki Fujimoto started the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, and it finished part 1 in 2020 with a total of 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2, which is going to focus on Denji’s schoo life, began on July 12 this year, and has released 4 chapters so far. Viz Media licensed the manga in English. The series is also getting an anime adaptation by MAPPA this October. Crunchyroll will be streaming it, and they describe the story:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
