The artist of Oshi no Ko Mengo Yokoyari, also known as the author of Scum’s Wish, posted an illustration of Chainsaw Man character Himeno on Wednesday. She has been a big fan of the series. The anime’s newest, 9th episode aired a few hours before the post.
The illustration by the Oshi no Ko artist came with a brief caption as “Himeno-senpai” and features the character’s final battle against Samurai Sword (Katana Man) where she used the power of her contracted Ghost Devil at the cost of her body parts in the Chainsaw Man anime’s 8th episode titled “Gunfire“, which aired last week.
Mariya Ise, the voice actress of Killua Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Anarchy Stocking in Panty & Stocking series, is voicing Himeno in the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation.
Mengo Yokoyari has been drawing Oshi no Ko manga with story written by Aka Akasaka, Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga creator, in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since April 2020. The manga surpassed 3.8 million circulating copies and is receiving an anime adaptation by Doga Kobo in 2023.
