Chainsaw Man’s newest trailer was only released yesterday and it already surpassed 11 million views. The Twitter view counter hit the impressive 2 million in just an hour yesterday, while the situation on YouTube was somewhat slower – over 3 million in less than nine hours. Currently, the Twitter video has over 6 million while YouTube is “trailing behind” with over 5. Check out the trailer on MAPPA’s YouTube channel:
This is the anime’s fourth trailer and the hype (rightfully so) doesn’t seem to be dying down. We now know that Kenshi Yonezu is performing the opening theme song “KICK BACK” and that the anime will have 12 ending theme songs, all of them with different performers like Aimer, Eve, TK, and more. In addition to the trailer and theme song information, additional cast has also been revealed so the full list now looks like this:
- Kikunosuke Toya as Denji
- Tomori Kusunoki as Makima
- Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa
- Fairouz Ai as Power
- Mariya Ise as Himeno
- Tsuda Kenjiro as Kishibe
- Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama
- Taku Yashiro as Hirokazu Arai
- Shiori Izawa as Pochita
The information was revealed during a special world premiere event for the Chainsaw Man anime. The main cast (Fairouz Ai, Tomori Kusunoki, Kikunosuke Toyaand Shogo Sakata) attended, along with the anime director Ryu Nakayama (middle). They shared their thoughts on the upcoming adaptation.
The anime is based on a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The first part originally ran from 2018 to 2020 and ended after 97 chapters and 11 volumes. The continuation, dubbed Part 2, began on July 13 on the Shonen Jump+ platform.
