Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Gets New Key Visual Ahead of January Premiere

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 has received a new key visual, ahead of its January 2024 release date. Studio Lerche is returning to animate the 3rd season. The new key visual features the duo that the last season’s finale ended with, Class D’s Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Class A’s Arisu Sakayanagi:

The anime was originally planned to premiere in 2023, but was delayed due to various circumstances.

The anime is an adaptation of Shogo Kinugasa’s light novels. Classroom of the Elite Season 2 ran for a total of 13 episodes, and it took the top of our weekly anime ranking in the last week of Summer 2022. after Ayanokoji confronted Ryuen. Season 1 aired in 2017 and had 12 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, and they describe the story:
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school’s problem children.

What’s more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class.

One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school…
