The event featured appearances by Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch), Kohei Amasaki (Rose), and producer Kojiro Taniguchi. They reflected on the last year’s birthday screening event where Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture was first announced.

Producer Taniguchi teased Fukuyama about not revealing that he would appear in the new anime, to which Fukuyama replied: “Think back. I never once said I wasn’t in it. All I said was that I didn’t know or wasn’t involved. I never told a lie!” He also accepted a bouquet of flowers on Lelouch’s behalf as a birthday present.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion is an original anime series by studio SUNRISE. Goro Taniguchi directed it, with Ichiro Okouchi writing the script. The movies were followed by an original sequel movie titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection in 2019.

The latest anime for the franchise was the Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture movie. It released over 4 parts from May to August 2024, with an episodic version also sreaming on Disney from June 21.
