Crunchyroll recently announced Black Clover Season 2, which featured a 2026 release date in the video’s announcement trailer. A day later, the description has now been edited to delete the mention of the 2026 release date, instead saying that the anime “is coming to Crunchyroll.”
Studio Pierrot is returning to animate the sequel, which will continue the anime that stopped after 170 episodes in 2021.

The Black Clover manga was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2015 to August 2023, before transferring to Jump GIGA. It entered its final arc in August 2022. The manga is available to read on Viz Media’s website, MANGA Plus website, and the Shonen Jump mobile app in English.
It received a 170-episode anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot, which ran from 2017 to 2021. The Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie premiered on June 16 and is streaming on Netflix. Crunchyroll streams the TV anime, and they describe the story:
