Crunchyroll Marks Anime NYC With New Reveals, Including Fire Force S3, Pass the Monster Meat, Milady, There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party & More

Crunchyroll hosted its Showcase panel at Anime NYC 2025 on August 23, presenting updates on returning anime and announcing some new acquisitions.

The panel opened with the first teaser visual for Fire Force Season 3 Part 2. Produced by David Production, the series’ finale will begin streaming in January 2026 exclusively on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll also revealed the main trailer and new key visual for Let’s Play, the anime adaptation of Leeanne Krecic’s webcomic. With over 700 million views across platforms, the romantic comedy has been adapted by OLM (Pokémon, The Apothecary Diaries) and begins streaming October 1. Musical artist Toshinobu Kubota will perform both the opening theme, “1, 2, Play,” and ending theme, “Left & Right.”

Several newly acquired Japanese titles were also announced, most slated for October 2025:

  • Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! (Asahi Production): A fantasy comedy about Lady Melphiera, a noblewoman with a taste for monsters, and her encounter with the feared “Blood-Mad Duke.” Directed by Mutsumi Takeda, with series composition by Keiichiro Ochi. It will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia.
  • SI-VIS: The Sound of Heroes: An original project written by Saekano creator Fumiaki Maruto. The series follows a co-ed music group whose live concerts double as secret battles against hidden threats. It will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia.
  • The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest (Gekkou): Adapting Alto’s novels, the story centers on Alec Ygret, an exiled support magician who reunites with an old comrade to return to dungeon exploration. Directed by Ken Takahashi with scripts by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, it will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia.
  • A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai (Tatsunoko Production and SynergySP): An isekai story about salaryman Takeru, who reincarnates in the world of Madeus and gains unique gathering skills. Directed by Yoshinori Odaka with series composition by Gigaemon Ichikawa. It will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia.
  • There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her (Gekkou): Planned for 2026, this adaptation follows Yoki, a reincarnated demon who falls in love with the hero’s priestess. Chief director is Yasutaka Yamamoto, with scripts by Yukie Sugawara. It will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide excluding Asia but including India and the Indian Subcontinent.

In addition to these announcements, To Your Eternity received a dedicated panel on August 22 with voice actors Reiji Kawashima and Kenjiro Tsuda. A documentary film titled The Roots of To Your Eternity was revealed, set to premiere August 29 on Crunchyroll. The feature will include creator interviews and narration by Tsuda, tracing the creative journey of the series. It was also confirmed that the music group Perfume will perform the opening theme for Season 3, which begins airing in October.
