Daisuke Ono Joins Wind Breaker Season 2 Voice Cast as Yamato Endo

WIND BREAKER Season 2 announced that Daisuke Ono has joined the voice cast as the mysterious former Furin member, Yamato Endo. This had already been evident from his previous appearance, while an official confirmation was released following the latest episode. Studio CloverWorks is again animating, with Crunchyroll streaming the anime as part of their Spring 2025 lineup.

Yamato Endo will play a major role in future events in the story, as he was revealed as the mastermind behind both KEEL and Gravel incidents. Daisuke Ono is an incredibly recognizable voice, with some of his most iconic roles including Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler, Jotaro Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Erwin Smith in Attack on Titan, and Shizuo Heiwajima in Durarara!!.

Satoru Nii writes and illustrates the WIND BREAKER manga, which has been serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website since January 2021. There is a total of 22 volumes as of June 9, 2025. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.

The story follows Haruka Sakura, a first-year student at Furin High School, a school known for being attended by delinquents who solve everything with brute strength. Sakura joins aiming to become the strongest by taking everyone down in fights, but the school turns out to be completely different to what he had thought. The students there have formed a group called Bofurin, and they work to protect the town from real bad guys. Now Sakura has to learn with friends and people who care about him.
