DAN DA DAN premiere and at least two episodes of the upcoming Ranma ½ remake were leaked online earlier today. Both titles are scheduled to begin airing this October and will stream on Netflix. At this time it appears that Netflix is the common denominator, as the Mononoke: Karakasa movie was also leaked. However, according to the SAG-AFTRA Signatory Confirmation Database, the movie, which premiered in Japan on July 26, will be getting an English dub that will stream on the platform under the Phantom in the Rain title:
Reports of Re:Zero Season 3 premiere (streams on Netflix in Japan) being leaked have also appeared online but at this time we have not been able to confirm them. The 90-minute premiere was screened during this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles in July. Photos of the screening are available online, even though photographing the event was not allowed.
The first episode of Science SARU’s DAN DA DAN premiered at this year’s Anime Expo; the English dub version is coming to Anime NYC in August. The anime will also have a theatrical run consisting of the first three episodes. The leaked version of DAN DA DAN’s premiere is in Japanese, without subtitles, and features timestamps; the description on one of the popular anime pirate websites hints at it coming from an unknown Telegram channel. The opening by Creepy Nuts has been circulating Twitter/X for the past few hours.
UPDATE (August 7): At least six episodes are now out.
Ranma ½ remake by studio MAPPA will have a world premiere of the first episode at Anime NYC. The remake was announced earlier this year and revealed the first trailer on July 17. Currently, it appears that the first and third episodes are out. Similarly to DAN DA DAN, the episodes are low quality with timestamps.
Mononoke franchise recently revealed that The Phantom in the Rain will be the first of three movies. The sequel, Mononoke Second Chapter: Hinezumi, will debut in Japan on March 14, 2025. The title and release date for the third movie have not been confirmed.
In April of this year, several titles from the Crunchyroll’s Spring 2024 lineup were also leaked. KonoSuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 3, Sound! Euphonium Season 3, As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World, and more were out before their official release dates. All of the titles were screened during the Puerto Rico Comic Con.
