DAN DA DAN confirmed that its third season will air in 2027 and revealed a new key visual ahead of the release during the series’ Jump Festa 2026 stage. Science SARU will continue to oversee production of DAN DA DAN going into Season 3. You can check out the new key visual below:

The teaser image features the mysterious girl who emerged from a kaiju suit at the end of Season 2 (and gave Momo quite a surprise, among other things) as well as Okarun and Turbo Granny looking upward with their eyes open wide, seemingly in shock, with Momo positioned below them.

DAN DA DAN is a fantastic genre-blending story following the occult and paranormal adventures of Momo, a high school girl born into a family of spiritual mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast. After an argument over whether aliens or ghosts exist, the two attempt to prove the other wrong, discovering supernatural forces and awakening unique abilities in the process. From there, the duo grows into a found family of unique and compelling characters as they contend with the otherworldly and navigate an incredibly special coming-of-age story.

DAN DA DAN Season 2 ended this past September after premiering in July with a total of 12 episodes. This followed a May and June theatrical release of the season’s first three episodes as DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE, which saw tremendous success in screenings across the world. Season 1 premiered in October of 2024 with 12 episodes. This means that the gap from Seasons 2 to 3 will be the longest for the series thus far. The manga, created by Yukinobu Tatsu, is roughly two complete arcs ahead of where the anime concluded Season 2, so this longer gap has the added benefit of giving the source material more time to get further ahead than its current 21 released volumes. The DAN DA DAN manga has sold over 12 million copies and is currently being serialized every Tuesday on Shueisha’s manga magazine app Shonen Jump+.

If you haven’t checked out the DAN DA DAN anime, you can stream it on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu. Further details on streaming Season 3 as well as the latest updates on the series will be announced via the official English-language social media accounts and platform list.
