Days With My Stepsister Tops Summer 2024 Ranking Again in Week 9, Author Comments

Days with My Stepsister topped the Summer 2024 weekly ranking in week 9 for the second time this season. The show had previously ranked first in week 3, and had continually remained near the top. This week, Days with My Stepsister took 7.75% of the votes, making a +3.44% jump to overtake OSHI NO KO Season 2 and Too Many Losing Heroines! Summer 2024 – Top 10 Anime of Week 9 | Days with My Stepsister 2 Ranks First

The original creator of the series, Ghost Mikawa, also shared the ranking on X, commenting on Episode 9 and thanking the director and the anime staff. You can read his comment below:

Apparently, Episode 9 was so amazing that it received the number one rating for the first time in a while. I’m really happy that the wonderful work created by Director Ueno and his team has been properly recognized.

Studio DEEN is animating the series with Takehiro Ueno as the director. Mitsutaka Hirota is in charge of the script, while Manabu Nii is credited as the character designer. The voice cast includes:

  • Yuki Nakashima as Saki Ayase
  • Kohei Amasaki as Yuta Asamura
  • Minori Suzuki as Shiori Yomiuri
  • Ayu Suzuki as Maaya Narasaka
  • Daiki Hamano as Tomokazu Maru

Crunchyroll is streaming the series, and they describe the story:
When his father remarries, Yuta Asamura winds up sharing a roof with his new stepsister, Saki Ayase, the hottest girl in his grade. Carrying the scars of their parents’ troubled divorces, they vow to maintain a respectful distance. But what starts as cautious camaraderie blossoms into something deeper from shared experiences. Days with My Step Sister (Gimai Seikatsu) is a mix-media project that initially started on YouTube. The light novel version of the series is written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Hiten. It began its publication in January 2021 by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J imprint. There is also manga adaptation by Yumika Kanade.
