Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Adds More Playable Demons

The Kasugai Crows have news! “Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles” is an exciting upcoming game featuring characters from the anime and manga series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. This fan-favorite series follows Tanjiro Kamado as he becomes a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his sister becomes a demon. The story features plenty of characters and an award-winning, unique art style. One of the more memorable details about the series is the sword techniques of demon slayers. The attacks are all styled like Ukiyo-e art, making the show both incredibly action-packed and satisfying to watch.

Thus far, the “Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles” has 18 playable characters. Of those 18, 6 are “Kimetsu Academy” versions of other character slots. More notably, the only playable demon is the recurring character Nezuko Kamado. For many, especially fans, this was disappointing to see. Not only are the demons some of the series’ most popular characters, but many of the playable characters don’t even appear much in the series. 4 of the playable characters fight with the same Water Breathing style, for example.

Conversely, every demon uses unique attacks rather than swordplay. The game features a relatively simplistic fighting system; those who have played the “Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm” franchise will find it familiar. Like that game, this needs lots of unique characters to feel full. Thankfully, the game is adding more playable demons. These characters, playable in Versus Mode, will come to “Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles” via a free update following the game’s launch.
