Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Movie 1 – New Zenitsu Visual Debuts for 96 Days Countdown to Japan Premiere

With just 96 days remaining until the highly anticipated Japanese premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Movie 1 on July 18, a brand-new visual featuring Zenitsu Agatsuma has been revealed. The countdown visual highlights Zenitsu, who is set to have a big role in the intense battles to come as the final arc of the anime begins its cinematic conclusion.

Once again, ufotable is returning to animate the project, meaning the same quality that fans have come to expect from the franchise. The film will roll out internationally shortly after Japan, with global release dates set between August 14 and September 25.

A Glimpse into the Final Battle

According to Crunchyroll, the Infinity Castle movie kicks off the beginning of the end for Tanjiro and his allies in their war against Muzan Kibutsuji and his Twelve Kizuki. Having journeyed through many life-threatening battles alongside his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke, and fought alongside powerful Hashira like Rengoku, Uzui, Tokito, and Kanroji, Tanjiro now faces the greatest challenge yet.

Following the grueling Hashira Training arc, which saw the Demon Slayer Corps preparing for all-out war, the demon king Muzan has made his move, attacking the Ubuyashiki Estate. In the final episode twist, Tanjiro and the Hashira were dragged into the shifting space known as the Infinity Castle, where the showdown begins. The previous visual featured Tanjiro to mark 97 days.

Background and What’s Next

The Demon Slayer franchise continues to be a cultural powerhouse. Created by Koyoharu Gotoge, the manga originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020, concluding with 23 volumes. The anime adaptation debuted in 2019, and its first movie, Mugen Train (2020), smashed box office records worldwide. That story was later re-edited into episodes as part of Season 2, followed by Season 3 (2023) and Season 4 (2024), which led directly into the events of the Infinity Castle arc.

Fans have more than just the movie trilogy to look forward to:
