The official website of the upcoming second season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba revealed that the series will air in the Fall 2021 and the Winter 2022 season. The anime will consist of 2 cour that will air on Sundays at 11:15 pm JST on Fuji TV.
Cast & Production
Natsuki Hanae will be coming back to voice Tanjiro Kamado along with Akari Kitou as Nezuko. In addition, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will be voicing Inosuke Hashibira while Hiro Shimono will voice Zenitsu Agatsuma.
Studio ufotable is animating season 2 of the highly popular anime after having animated the first one and the Mugen Train movie. The current staff will be returning along with Haruo Sotozaki as the director. Akira Matsushima will take care of character designs.
Demon Slayer Manga
Demon Slayer manga, by Koyoharu Gotouge, finished its 4-year long run last year, after 205 chapters. The first season of the anime aired in 2019 and had 26 episodes. The sequel movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train came out in 2020 and became one of the highest-grossing Japanese movies worldwide. Moreover, the BluRay and DVD release sold over 486 thousand copies in under 24 hours.
