Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc Finale Crashes Crunchyroll's Servers

The season finale of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordswmith Village Arc aired in Japan earlier today and as always, overseas fans had to wait for Crunchyroll’s simulcast of the anime. However, watching the anime is proving to be quite difficult at the moment because Crunchyroll’s servers were not prepared for the fans’ hype. The website has been struggling for over an hour: the episode is not visible to many users, some can watch it but are unable to get the 1080p version and for some, the search bar is broken if you try to look for Demon Slayer:

Crashing of Crunchyroll’s servers is rare, but not unheard of, especially when we’re talking about bigger titles such as Attack on Titan or the abovementioned Demon Slayer. The website is slowly stabilizing, with some users finally being able to get to the episode.

The third season of Demon Slayer went out with a bang (a 70-minute final episode) and as soon as the broadcast in Japan finished, a fourth season was announced. The upcoming season will cover the Hashira Training arc and you can check out the spoiler-free announcement trailer below:

Crunchyroll is streaming the entirety of Demon Slayer anime with English subtitles and in English dubbed version.
