Japan-based airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced a new collab with the popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise. Demon Slayer characters will grace some of ANA’s planes. The planes are still not in service, but mock-up designs are available.
ANA also announced the release of Demon Slayer-themed in-flight products, which include paper cups, menko cards (Japanese card game), as well as a coaster. Other exclusive in-flight product giveaways are set for release in February and April next year.
The first season of the Demon Slayer anime adaptation will be also featured on ANA’s in-flight entertainment, along with five songs each from the franchise.
About Demon Slayer Franchise
The Demon Slayer’ (Kimetsu no Yaiba) franchise started out as a manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. The manga started serialization in the Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2016. It ended in May 2020, after 23 volumes. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.

The first season of the anime aired from April 6 to September 28, 2019. Studio ufotable animated it, with Haruo Sotozaki as the director. Sequel movie titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train premiered on October 16, 2020, in Japan, with a global release shortly after. The movie has grossed over US$503 million at the worldwide box office. Only in Japan, the movie earned over ¥50 billion, and became the top-grossing movie in Japan of all time. Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away previously held this title for over 19 years.
The second season is currently airing, and it includes a TV version of the Mugen Train movie, as well as a new arc which will start on December 5th.
