The upcoming DIGIMON BEATBREAK new anime has revealed its main visual, trailer, and new additions to the voice cast ahead of its October 5 premiere. The series will air Sundays at 9:00 a.m. on Fuji TV and affiliated networks.
The story introduces a world where Digimon evolve by absorbing “e-Pulse,” a mysterious energy generated by human thoughts and emotions. At the center is the 15-year-old Tomoro Tenma, a cynical teenager whose life changes when he meets the impulsive and food-obsessed Digimon, Geckomon.
Their meeting begins a set of events that involve the elite team known as Golden Dawn, which is teased in both the visual and trailer.
As previously announced, Miyu Irino leads the cast as Tomoro, with Megumi Han as Geckomon. Today’s announcement revealed the Golden Dawn cast, which includes:
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Rena Sakuya
- Mutsumi Tamura as Pristimon, Rena’s Digimon
- Arisa Sekine as Makoto Kuonji, the team’s data analys
- Misaki Kuno as Chiropmon, Makoto’s geeky partner
- Yohei Azakami as Kyo Sawashiro, the genius strategist and leader of Golden Dawn
- Daiki Hamano as Murasamemon, Kyo’s Digimon partner
You can watch the first trailer below.
Before the series premiere, DIGIMON BEATBREAK will have a special early screening of Episode 1 at DIGIMON EXPO’25, scheduled for September 20 and 21. The attending voice cast will include Megumi Han, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Mutsumi Tamura, Arisa Sekine, Misaki Kuno, and Daiki Hamano. A talk session featuring director Hiroaki Miyamoto, character designer Takahiro Kojima, and producer Shinji Takada will follow.
We previously had the opportunity to interview the Digimon franchise producer Hiromi Seki at last year’s New York Comic Con. She shared interesting insights about the origins of Digimon, its unique evolution system that sets it apart from Pokémon, and the franchise’s future with Digimon Adventure Beyond.
