Dr. Stone: New World (Season 3) revealed the opening theme song in a new trailer earlier today. The song is “Wasuregataki” by Huwie Ishizaki. The anime will premiere on April 6 of this year and the season will be broadcast in two split courts.
TMS Entertainment is animating the third season of the series under Shuhei Matsushita’s direction. As announced during Jump Festa ’23, Maaya Sakamoto will be joining the cast as Francois.
The first season of Dr. Stone anime aired in the Summer 2019 anime season. Dr. Stone: Stone Wars sequel follow in January of 2021. Studios 8 Pan and TMS Entertainment animated the adaptation of Richiro Inagaki’s manga, which recently ended after 5 years of serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump. Season 3 was announced along with the Ryusui TV special. which premiered last summer.
Viz is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
