Voice actress Fairouz Ai announced that she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) a few months ago. In the statements from her agency and herself, they state that she will limit her activities for the time being in order to recover. She also asked fans to refrain from making speculations or comments regarding this as it is a private matter. You can read her full statement below.
“To everyone who always supports me,
As announced on my agency’s website, I was diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) a few months ago. Wanting to meet the expectations and support I have received, I have been making every effort over the past few months. However, I have decided that focusing on treatment and recovering my mental and physical health as soon as possible is the best course of action.
With the support of my agency and those around me, I will be limiting some of my activities for the time being.
As the cause of this condition is a private matter, I kindly ask that you refrain from making speculations or comments regarding it.
To the amazing production teams who create the works and characters I love so dearly, and to the fans who always offer me kind words, I am deeply sorry and filled with regret for causing you concern and inconvenience. I will do my best to recover so that I can return to you a s a healthy and vibrant self.
I would be so happy if you continue to love the characters and works I’ve been a part of.”
Fairouz Ai is known for her roles as Jolyne Kujo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Power in Chainsaw Man, Hibiki Sakura in How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?, Delta in The Eminence in Shadow, and Cecily in KonoSuba, among many others.
