Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Movie 1 – Akaza’s Return tickets went on sale for the fastest screening in Japan, and they sold out within minutes. The special world premiere screening of the film will be held at midnight (00:00) on July 18 across 24 theaters in 11 prefectures in Japan.

Users reported ‘sold out’ messages as early as 10 minutes in, with some websites temporarily reopening sale later. The available prefectures and theaters include:

  • Hokkaido: TOHO Cinemas Susukino, Lawson United Cinemas Sapporo
  • Miyagi: TOHO Cinemas Sendai
  • Tokyo: TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Ueno, Roppongi Hills, Shinjuku Wald 9
  • Kanagawa: Yokohama Burg 13, TOHO Cinemas Kawasaki
  • Aichi: Midland Square Cinema, 109 Cinemas Nagoya
  • Osaka: TOHO Cinemas Umeda, Namba, Abeno Apollo Cinema
  • Kyoto: TOHO Cinemas Nijo, T-Joy Kyoto
  • Hyogo: OS Cinemas Mint Kobe
  • Hiroshima: Hiroshima Wald 11

The movie was recently confirmed for a 155-minute runtime (2h35m), while it is set to open in the highest number of Japanese theaters in franchise’s history.

The movie recently premiered its trailer, which hit 40 million views within the first 24 hours. You can watch it below.

Following its domestic debut, Infinity Castle Movie 1 is scheduled to launch internationally between August 14 and September 25, 2025. The film, animated once again by ufotable, will mark the first of a trilogy that will show the final battles of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga.
