The story of the Amagami trio and Uryu is now officially over. Kodansha has released the 22nd and final volume of Marcey Naito’s Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister (Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi). While that news may upset fans of the manga, they can soothe their melancholy with the mecha kawaii illustrations included in the final volume. The illustrations, which feature the Amagami sisters in wedding gowns, express gratitude to fans for their continued support.
Marcey Naito wrote and illustrated this supernatural harem manga, Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister. Originally published as a one-shot in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in December 2020, the manga’s stellar reception led to a serialization from April 2021 to August 2025. Kodansha USA publishes both the print and digital English versions of the manga in North America.
Studio Drive, known for their work on Teppen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the third season of KonoSuba, animated the adaptation of Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi.
Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Synopsis
After losing his mother and spending most of his life in an orphanage, Uryu Kamihate develops a strong dislike for the gods. His anger fuels a militant belief that only a hands-on approach can help people. To accommodate his studies, Uryu agrees to live at the Amagami Shrine. But to his surprise—and in contradiction to his beliefs—he’s told he must marry one of the shrine’s resident sisters. With his future on the line, Uryu hesitantly agrees. As he begins to bond with the Amagami sisters and experiences things he can’t rationalize, his perspective slowly begins to change.
