Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange Reveals Additional Cast, Ending Theme Info

The upcoming Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange anime has announced additional cast members, which include Katsuyuki Konishi as Daigo Asahina and Takehito Koyasu as Shiro Amakasu. “Perfect World” by LMYK will be the anime’s ending theme song.

The anime, which will be animated by studio Brain’s Base, will be premiering this September 30. Masahiko Murata is directing it, and Shinzo Fujito is in charge of the series composition. Hitomi Tsuruta and Koji Yabuno are doing the character designs. The main cast for the anime includes:

  • Junya Enoki as Daigo Toake
  • Taku Yashiro as Shun Onoda
  • Ayane Sakura as Yuki Nakamura
  • Kenjiro Tsuda as Narrator

Crunchyroll licensed the Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange Anime outside of Japan and describes the plot as:
Toake Daigo burns with remarkable talent and unparalleled determination. Onoda Shun struggles against the walls blocking his own path. Nakamura Yuki hopes to become one of the few female members of the special rescue corps known as “Orange.” When these three young firefighters who share the goal of becoming members of Orange come together, the story of how Japan will one day be saved begins… and what looms before them is a crisis that endangers the entire country!

The Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange anime (Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M: Kyukoku no Orange) is based on the Megumi no Daigo: Kyukoku no Orange manga by Masahito Soda, with assistance from Kuro Tomiyama. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine since October 2020. The manga is preceded by the 1995 manga Megumi no Daigo by the same author. It was published under Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday.

In 1999, the franchise got an anime film directed by Susumu Nishizawa and animated by Sunrise. A television drama series aired on Fuji TV with 11 episodes in 2004.
