The Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku (The Flower Blooms, Like Ashura, or just Flower and Asura) Japanese manga is written by Ayano Takeda, who is also known as the author of Sound! Euphonium. It features illustrations by Musshu.
Shueisha describes the story:
Hana lives on the small island of Tonakijima with a population of 600 and loves reading to the children of the island. Mizuki is the president of the broadcasting club at school. She recognizes Hana’s ability to engage people through her reading, and so she invites her to join the broadcasting club.
“Tell me what you really want, and I will make it come true.”
“I want to join the broadcasting club.”
Hana decides to join, and she experiences many “firsts” with the members of the broadcasting club and begins to deepen her love of reading.
