Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 released the preview for Episode 3, which premieres on Friday, January 30. The episode synopsis is as follows:
In the hot spring resort of Etwas, Frieren and the others yearn for hot springs, but the mountain village has already been neglected. Hearing rumours that there is a “secret hot spring on Mount Etwas” deep in the mountains, the three decide to head there. What awaits them at the end of the rugged mountain path inhabited by monsters? Then, when they arrive at the next town, Fern receives an unexpected invitation from Stark.
The main voice cast for the anime includes:
- Atsumi Tanezaki as Frieren
- Kana Ichinose as Fern
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Stark
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Himmel
- Yoji Ueda as Eisen
- Hiroki Tochi as Heiter
Tomoya Kitagawa is directing the sequel, replacing Keiichiro Saito at studio MADHOUSE. Tomohiro Suzuki is in charge of the series composition, with Yuri Fujinaka, Keisuke Kojima, and Maru Takase on character designs. Evan Call is composing the music.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and they describe the story as follows:
After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
