From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman anime revealed the first key visual and trailer, along with two new cast members. Studio Passione is in charge of the animation, with Yoshio Kazumi as the director. You can watch the new trailer below.
The new cast members include Chiwa Saito and Kaito Ishikawa. The voice cast for the From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman anime now consists of the following members:

- Hitomi Ueda as Surena Lysandra
- Nao Toyama as Allucia Citrus
- Hinaki Yano as Ficelle Harbeller

The story follows Beryl Gardinant. He calls himself a humble old man, and he is a sword instructor at his dojo in a backwater village. He is then visited by a former student who has since become famous, and he ends up appointed as a special instructor for the knights of the Liberion Order. He then meets up with several other former students, who include an elite knight, an ace wizard, and an adventurer who’s attained the highest guild rank possible. He isn’t aware why they asked for him, and he ends up living a very different life.

Shigeru Sagazaki writes the From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman: My Hotshot Disciples Are All Grown Up Now and They Won’t Leave Me Alone (Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru: Tada no Inaka no Kenjutsu Shihan Datta noni, Taisei Shita Deshitachi ga Ore o Hottekurenai Ken) light novel series, which features illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima.
The novel first began serialization on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in November 2020, after which it was acquired by Square Enix in April 2021 and serialized under their SQEX Novel imprint. There is also a manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato, which has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Dokodemo Young Champion magazine since August 2021. J-Novel licensed the light novel in English, while Yen Press licensed the manga.
The anime was announced in August 2024 with a teaser visual and trailer.
