Fullmetal Alechmist: The Stage Releases 8 Character Visuals Including Scar, Hohenheim and the Homunculus

On February 9, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Stage -Each Battlefield- released eight new character visuals of the additional cast of the play. The new character visuals feature Scar, the Homunculus, Solf, Izumi, Pinako, and Van. The play will be performed in Tokyo at the Nippon Seinen-kan Hall from June 8 to June 16, 2024, and in Osaka at the Sky Theater MBS from June 29 to June 30, 2024. It is directed by Kenichi Konno with the script written by Sachiko Ishimaru.

The stage play adaptation also released a new key visual featuring all of the cast in the play. In the new visual, the characters are going into battle with all of their feelings and determination in their hearts.

In celebration of the stage adaptation, the original author of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga series, Hiromu Arakawa, gave a message and illustration supporting the stage play. It states that Arakawa is excited to see how the story will unfold in this new stage play adaptation, what kind of production it will be, and how the action scenes will play out live on stage.

Fullmetal The Stage -Each Battle- is the sequel to the first Fullmetal The Stage play that was performed in March 2023. It is based on the popular manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa, Full Metal Alchemist. The manga was serialized by Square Enix’s Monthly Shounen Gangan from July 2001 to June 2010. It has sold over 80 million copies worldwide.

The series has inspired anime adaptations, movies, live-action, and games. The first anime adaptation, Fullmetal Alchemist, was aired from 2003 to 2004 and was directed by Seiji Mizushima (Gundam 00). The second anime adaptation, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, aired from 2009 to 2010 and was directed by Yasuhiro Irie (Code:Breaker). Studio BONES (My Hero Academia) was in charge of the animation of both adaptations.

Fullmetal Alchemist was licensed and physically published in English by Viz Media. Yen Press has the license and has released the manga series digitally.
