Gachiakuta manga artist Kei Urana is among the latest of prominent artists to announce plans to limit or stop posting artwork to X (formerly Twitter) after a controversial new ‘Edit Image’ feature was added to the platform this week. In a post on December 26 (JST), she said:

From now on, I’ll mainly post my artwork on Instagram 📣

While Urana’s post leaves some room for admirers of her art who plan to remain on X, Dr. STONE artist Boichi went even further by announcing he’ll be completely ceasing art posts on X due to the feature. You can check out his message here: ‘It’s With a Heavy Heart’: Dr.STONE Artist to Stop Posting Art on X After Platform’s Controversial ‘Edit Image’ Feature Addition. The feature adds a button to images, allowing users to make modifications using AI. There are no opt-outs currently.

The Gachiakuta anime production committee recently announced that Season 2, a game, and a stage adaptation are all in development. The potential loss of Urana’s art on X is rather unfortunate.
