The anime adaptation of the popular mobile game Garena Free Fire revealed the first look teaser visual and trailer, as well as the main staff. Both the visual and trailer feature Kelly, one of Garena Free Fire’s most iconic characters, and she will be central protagonist of the anime.
KADOKAWA CORPORATION and Garena Online Private Limited made the announcement on July 5, giving us the first update since the anime’s initial announcement in May 2024.
The main staff for the anime includes:
- Director: Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma)
- Animation Production: CANDY BOX (Blue Archive The Animation, Azur Lane:Bisoku Zenshin!)
- Music: Sus4 Inc. (Ragna Crimson, Jackie Chan & Clair [Peace of the World])
The trailer features the anime’s theme song, which “reimagines a signature melody from Garena Free Fire.”
The Garena Free Fire anime adaptation is being produced by a Japanese anime production studio with KADOKAWA QINGYU, KADOKAWA’s overseas branch, serving as its production manager. The completed animation will be broadcast and streamed worldwide.

Garena Free Fire is a mobile battle royale game developed and published by Garena. Designed for mobile platforms, the game has gained widespread popularity and has consistently ranked among the most downloaded titles in its category over the past several years, according to data from Sensor Tower. Notably, it was the most downloaded mobile game worldwide in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024.
In addition to its standard battle royale gameplay, Free Fire features a variety of other modes, including Clash Squad, Pet Mania, and Zombie Invasion, giving players multiple ways to engage with the game. Free Fire is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play.
